IPOH: Criminals bare this in mind, soon there will be cctv to watch your movement.
Datuk Bandar Datuk Roshidi Hashim have said that the Ipoh City Council finished installing its first batch of 24 closed-circuit television cameras in crime area around the city and will commence 24-hour surveillance from July 1
The CCTV's will provide live feed to the control room of the Ipoh district police headquarters.
Perak police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Zulkifli Abdullah said most crimes, especially snatch theft, robbery and motorcycle theft, were crimes of opportunity.
The impact of these CCTVs will make a person think twice to commit crime. it will also help us to act faster to any incident.
